Trying to keep sunday productive

So many times we think we need a break, we think of things we would like to do; things we would like to learn... things we would just like to get rid of. Well, at this point of my life I have this time, a lot of it. Probably by organizing myself, I would have been able todo it before, but I didn't, so... now I don't have the excuse to say I don't have time. Some of this things are family history.

As members of the church we do family history. We do research of our own ancestors. This process may take time and may seen boring. However, it is pretty cool when you do find someone who is part of your family, someone who lived many years ago, even centuries, and was kind of just waiting for you to find him/her. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints provides many tools to find your own ancestors and help others find theirs.

One of those tools is called indexing. In old times, records of births, marriages, deaths and similar ones, were written down in huge books. With time, many of those books have been digitalized, now they are images that can be accessed on a computer. To further simplify the process of finding your ancestors, someone indexing will type all the information contained on some images to create databases.

So today I will be doing some indexing, and I will also look at the databases to see if I can find some of my own ancestors.

About my internship

So... in oder to receive my associates degree I need to do an internship which I am doing with Jon Woodbury. He is a very creative photographer who has a very unique style and sense of humor.
I do about 20 hours a week of work with him helping him on shoots and some album photo layout and other things.

This is one of the photos I took while in a photo shoot with Jon a couple weeks ago at Thanksgiving point, UT.

Who I am

My name is Abraham.

I am a mexican student in the US.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (a.k.a Mormon).

I love photography and design.

  THE PURPOSE OF THE BLOG:

To keep me motivated to do positive things with my time.

what YOU can get out of reading my blog:

•Motivation to do great things.
•Inspiration.
•Good feelings.

A little more about me: I started studying photography and taking my general classes at the LDS Business College and I finished with all my classes last April and now I just need to finish with an internship. Being an international student in the US can be hard because of the employment limitations. For example we are not allowed to work more than 20 hours a week during the semester, and up to 40 hours during the break.
